1.Halomonas-PHB fermentation technology and its application in health management of aquaculture
Halomonas-PHB is a promising immune-stimulant for aquatic animals. Efficient accumulation and production of Halomonas-PHB have been achieved by fermentation. Halomonas-PHB has been successfully applied to Litopenaeus vannamei, Epinephelus sp. and Cynoglossus semilaevis larviculture and aquaculture in laboratory and pilot scale, it has been proved that Halomonas-PHB significantly improve the survival and growth of aquatic animals, and benefit gut microflora.
2.Fermentation technology and functional evaluation of archaea carotenoids
C50 long chain bacterioruberin is the main component of archaea carotenoids. Bacterioruberin has application potentials in biological pharmacy and food industry due to its strong antioxidant activity.AR-ARC has obtained invention patent on producing archaea carotenoids through pilot-scale fermentation, and initially established the evaluation system for bacterioruberin.
